Students will be:
Educated to a disappearing way of life.
Motivated to be creative in using materials at hand.
Experiencing their heritage through story telling, hands-on
projects, music and food preparation.
United with all ages through cultural experiences.
Preserving regional culture through workshops and
demonstrations.
Exposed to all types of regional arts, both visual and performing.
Stimulated through the creative process.
Provided the opportunity to experience first hand that which was
previously available to them only through books.
Encouraged to explore, investigate and question.
Offered an important intergenerational opportunity.
Urged to experience first hand some of the ways of life of their
ancestors.
The purpose of Amelia’s, The Johnson Family Homeplace is to preserve the Heritage of the Northwest Georgia Region through education.

As a result of Heritage Education, students will enhance life skills and life skills reward society with active, knowledgeable, contributing members to our world.
